Chiang Mai Pubs

Chiang mai have a selection of Pubs and what they offer.

Darling Wines
95/10 Nimmanhaemin Road
Opposite Amari Rincome Hotel
Chiang Mai, 50200

Best wine selection in town

This classy little pub-cum-shop is the best place in town to sip a cool Chardonnay or a rich Cabernet. It imports premium quality wines from Australia, Chile and Europe and is the best bet in Chiang Mai where choice is concerned. For cheese connoisseurs, it offers a selection of French and Australian cheeses to accompany your Merlot. But if wine is not your thing, check out the large cocktail menu. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and though a bit pricey for Chiang Mai (THB190-THB400 a glass; THB700-THB3,500 a bottle), it is definitely worth a splurge.
Open Hours: 5pm-2am Tue-Sun.

El Toro
6 Kotchasarn Road
Soi 1
Chiang Mai, 50300
Tel: +66 53 273 574

Chiang Mai's rare Mexican fare

Cross a pub with a cantina and you get friendly El Toro. Play pool or darts to some Latin music or classic rock while sipping a frozen margarita or a beer. El Toro offers typical Mexican fare at reasonable prices--burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas, guacamole, chips and salsa, and refried beans. Just try to ignore the fact that when you order an enchilada, you get a quesadilla (which is not on the menu)!
Open Hours: 11am-1am daily.

Irish Pub (The)
24/24-1 Rajawithi Road
A. Muang
Chiang Mai, 50200
Tel: 214 554

A popular expatriate hangout

This is one of the bastions of the expatriate community in Chiang Mai. Downstairs is much brighter and airier than your typical Irish pub, though the posters celebrating Irish culture help to justify the pub's name. Upstairs is a cozy sports bar for darts enthusiasts, while the outdoor seating makes for a quieter time.
Open Hours: 9am-1am daily.
